We know the NHS is over-stretched and it may take a long time for an ambulance to arrive.
Often the lowest risk callers are unfortunately left on their own waiting for an ambulance for too long, possibly without necessities like food or water.
Simple things, requiring no training, could make a big difference to the patient and the ambulance service response.
Create or join a support network now with your friends, family and neighbours.
We are working with the NHS to make friends and family aware when someone has called 999 to avoid people waiting alone, and provide the ambulance service will valuable information to help them respond.
It’s on the way!
